My Go-To Meal Has Me in a Chokehold 🫔

Tell me the truth… are you one of those people who eats the same thing over and over again like it’s part of your personality?

Because same.

I don’t mean you like a meal. I mean you have that one go-to combo that shows up in your life so often it might as well have its own reserved parking spot in your kitchen. For me? It’s meat, onions, peppers, cheese… all wrapped up in a tortilla like a warm, reliable hug. Is it a taco? Is it a fajita? Is it just me refusing to make decisions? Who knows. What I do know is that it shows up again and again like, “Hey girl, miss me?”

And the thing is—I don’t even get tired of it. That’s the real issue. I’ll stand in my kitchen pretending to consider other options like I’m on a cooking show, open the fridge, stare at everything, and somehow end up right back at my tortilla situation. It’s like my brain goes, “Why risk disappointment when we already know this slaps?”

There’s something comforting about it though. No thinking, no stress, no “did I buy all the ingredients?” drama. It’s just autopilot. Chop, toss, cook, wrap. Done. Honestly, in a world where everything feels like it requires effort, my repeat meal is out here minding its business and keeping me fed.

Now don’t get me wrong—I love the idea of being someone who tries new recipes every week. You know, the kind of person who casually says things like, “Oh this? Just something I threw together.” Meanwhile, I’m over here proudly assembling my signature dish for the 47th time like it’s a culinary masterpiece.

But let’s talk about you for a second…

Are you a meal repeater too?
Do you have that one dish you keep coming back to like it owes you money? Or are you out here living wild and free, switching it up every night like a Food Network star?

No judgment here—just curiosity (and maybe a little validation for my tortilla lifestyle).

Because honestly? If it works, it works.
